Now would be a good time to go through the whole system, and at minimum replace the three flex lines in the system. I would like to get more gears to get better fuel milage. We're not talking about a small truck here, so a lot depends on what you use the truck for. The Spicer, Clark, and New Process transmissions from that period are probably up to the task, and they can be had in both direct and overdrive fifth gear models.
