It ran 3 years ago and has been outside in the weather for the last 5. It has surface rust with no damage to the metal. A nice project to look forward too. I am guessing that you have a 55-2nd series. The 55-1st series look like 54's. No insult intended if you know that already, as lots of folks don't. My first old Chevy was a 55-1st 3/4-ton and I thought it was a 54 until the seller gave me the title. Either way - welcome. Please browse the forums and the photo gallery, and ask away. And post some pictures! We all love old truck pictures.

It will be into shop this weekend and will get some better photos. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2013 Posts: 15 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Dec 2013 Posts: 15 | First time in Alaska for me was last year on a 10,300 mile motorcycle trip to as far as you can go by road DeadHorse.Man even in June we hit some 28 degree temps!I really like the 55/56/57 chevys and like the grill more in the 55/56.Only way I tell a second gen 55 and a 56 apart is the hood badge but sure these guys know lots more ways.Had a few 235 and one 260 six.Like its wider looking valve cover better than the 250 and 292 six owned.Love the old trucks of any brand. | | |
