My original engine (I have a '62 C10 Stepside) has the remote oil filter that was originally mounted to the intake manifold...I believe this is called a bypass filter system. Is there anyone that offers a spin-on filter adapter? If not, can someone please educate me on how the current filter system works, what oil pressure is desireable/expected from the newly rebuilt engine and where I might be able to mount the filter since it's not going to fit on the Offy manifold. Your input is much appreciated.

Just buy a remote adapter and proper lines and fittings and locate it in a spot convenient for you. I think if you try the Search button and type in "Remote Oil Filter" you should get some good hits.
