I bent some 5/16" metal tubing to go from the fuel pump to carb. It looks really good. But when I bent tubing going from the exhaust manifold to the dual stage fuel pump, trying to make it parallel the other, it looked like heck.

How can you bend two pieces of 5/16" tubing together to make them match? If I use the bender's adjacent 1/4" or 3/8" grooves, the tubing gets flat.

Should I buy another bender and open the 1/4" grooves with a 5/16" chainsaw file? (Stevejumpr wouldn't like me doing that to his bender!)

Or can I use 1/4" for the vacuum tubing going to the outlet of my dual stage fuel pump? That would be the easiest solution.

Thanks!!

Wally,

Don't you mess with my bender!! grin But, I think you could go with 1/4" tubing for the vac lines. I think my vac line is even smaller than that and they work great. Good luck.

Just make you a tool of two pices of wood.
Use one round pice and one flat, and just cut two growes in them.
