a couple of pictures from this summer hauling fill for around my new shop. the 550 Beast backhoe was a little too big for the truck for some reason. the box is made out of recycled scrap metal. the black paint makes it look good.
i bought the truck when i 15 years old in 1981. then in 1984 i returned with the truck to the town where it was bought new and drove it through the 100th year parade with the fellow i bought it from. now is that a trip down memory lane or what.
also a little red paint back then made the rotten wooden grain box look good. it fell apart a couple of years later.
the dual wheel will them make me have to get the vehicle safetied everything 6 months. just another cash grab by the government. no duals and register the truck as a 3/4 ton and no problems, lol.
i re-newed the plates so i could drive the truck but had brake problems. oh well. order more parts and when they come then i can have fun driving around at -40c waving at the ladies, lol.
for our annual xmas day get everything runing day. the 1939 chevy was used as the boost truck. started the truck at 10am at -26c but feels like -36c and it ran all day with no problems. you know it is cold when you got to use the secret clothes pin on the choke.
