I have three wires to connect to the two terminals on the switch. I have the hot lead to the switch (ok) and the lead from the switch to the stoplights (also ok) but I have a third wire that goes to the turnsignal switch.
I assume this is for the flashers and should be spliced into the wire going to the stoplights.

If you want turnsignals you'll have to add a switch for them. If you don't just terminate the turnsignal wire. | | |

That may be how they get three functions, stop/tail/turn out of a single filament bulb. I guess I'll just have to experiment. | | |

I didn't realize you had the Chevy Duty turn signal switch also. Looking at the picture in their on-line catalogue it appears to be a signal-stat 7 wire model. One is strictly for tail lights and the other is for stop and turn. When you just have the turn signal going, the flasher turns the light on and off. When you have the brake at the same time, the other side gives you the brake light. When you have no signal going, you get both brake lights. | | |
