Hi,

How can I hook up my stock gauge-cluster to a T5 gearbox with mechanical speedo-drive.

Other words, who's selling those cables.

Thanks,

Jan

I went to a NAPA store and picked out one that would fit, a few inches too long but you can't see it anyway. I don't remember the part no.

I just noticed you are in Belgium. Don't know if you have a NAPA but their parts listings include the length and the buyers guide tab will tell which vehicles it fits. Maybe someone else will know if the end fittings are the same on later model Chevy trucks.

The cable that I had on my 37 pickup with the stock transmission and the stock speedometer fit right onto the speedometer hook up on the T-5 I bought for my truck. The ratio was slightly off so I bought an adapter to slow it down slightly. I found the adapter on ebaY.

go to either D&D Speedometer (twin cities) or the speedometer shop (Milwaukee) and order a custom cable (they are dirt cheep). they also custom make adapters if you dont want to change the speedo drive gears correctly (to match your final drive)

I looked up my receipt. I used a NAPA part no. BK6151606.
The stock one on my 4-speed was too short to reach the back of the T-5. BK6151606 fits a large number of vehicles including 60-72 Chevy trucks.

Jan,
What modifications did it take to install the T5?
Thanks,
Harold

It depends on what year the truck is and the engine in the truck.
