It used to have a little valve, but that has proved hard to find as well. autoparts store not very helpful at least the one starting with O. No napa anywhere around sadly.
Anyone know if that valve is really needed?

Are those the right size? Not sure what teh 1/8 means. The OD of my fitting i need to match to is like 1/2 inch?
Don't laugh to hard at my ignorance.

I have a 1/8" nipple 2" long that comes from the bottom of my tank and then the elbow above is screwed into that. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 4,263 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 4,263 | You may want to install a hose at the bottom of the tank to allow for flexing. That's how it was originally.
I have a fuel filter at the bottom also. The valve is usefull when changing the filter for me. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2012 Posts: 163 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2012 Posts: 163 | DAD,
my fuel filter is right upstream of the carb and fuel bowl. is this a bad location?

I added a filter at the carb when I was having flooding issues last summer. ...pic.. That's what I run...never a problem!
