Finally got tired of dirty windows and installed an elecrtic pump to the window washer lines. The original wiper motor driven one is broken and was removed by the PO.
Question I have is the wiring.There is only one wire going from the switch to the wiper motor and only one other lead off the switch which is for the washers. Is the switch in the off position keeping the circuit open and when in the on position grounding out the circuit so the juice flows to the wiper or washer motor? 'Cause the motors won't run if the switch isn't attached to the dash.
If that is the case when putting in an aftermarket washer switch you would run power to the washer motor and the ground wire to the wiper switch. Right? Push button circuit is completed washer squrts water, let go circuit is broken and the water stops squirting.
