I have a 1963 chevy 1/2 ton with the factory 3 speed trani in it.My question is can I put a turbo 350 in it with the low hump floor pan or will I need the high hump pan for clearance?
Thanks Longhorn

It should fit. But others that know better will chime in soon. But it should go right where the 3 speed went.

May have to move (or make) a rear transmission mount and cross member though.

Depends on if your three speeds bell housing sits on cross member, or if the rear of the three speed sits on a cross member.

Been too long since I looked at a 63.

The T350, T400 & Powerglide, will clear the low transmission hump. You will need to remove the manual transmission cross member and install an automatic transmission crossmember, in the correct tailshaft mounting location.

You will also need to shorten the driveshaft, change the front yoke to the fine spline that auto transmissions use, install an oil cooler & lines, transmission kick down cable/bracket, and either modify the column shifter or use some aftermarket shifter.
