I live in MD so no extreme temperatures and I drive the truck weekly around town. For trucks that are just driven now and then, I change it several times a year and not wait for 3000 miles. That seems to work the best.

I will do exactly that. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 5,206 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 5,206 | I put maybe 1000 miles a year on my truck, so I will only start it when I know its going to be driven long enough to dry the oil and tail pipe of any condinsation that may have collected in them. I change oil about every two or three years, kinda depends on how it looks or if I feel like it.
