It has 44-5F on the web by the pumpkin and also C-31256. Also wondering the value- it is complete with dics brakes/springs etc. Also, on one side where it locks into 4 wd it says "spicer". (white) The other side is plain. (blue)

| | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | The axle is an open knuckle Dana 44, pretty much the standard axle used in GM 1/2 and 3/4 ton 4x4s from '70-'87 (HD option after '77). Sounds like it mght have a set of mismatched lockuots. As far as value, have no idea. It would be worth more if you have the rear axle that goes with it, and sell them as a matched set.

Would the rear axle have the same Dana 44 on the pumpkin web? Or put another way- How can I tell if I have a matched set? I think u are right about the lockouts. Drivers side look like a spicer and pass. side looks stock. (blue)
