Ive been having fuel issues and pulled carb apart. the end of the rod on my power piston was burred and i cleaned it up it sand paper, and still haveing problems, i noticed that in a exploded diagram of the rochester b, there is supposed to be a spring then a ball under the power piston. I only had the ball, no spring, would this be3 the reason no fuel is gettin into my carb? Where can i find another power piston? thanks for any help u guys have!

I believe the spring your missing comes with a rebuild kit. Here is a on line manual. Maybe you will find it useful, or at least interesting.

The kits are available at Napa. Pretty cheap and come with all new balls and springs. As well as new leather for the accelerator pump. Made a huge difference for my truck

I put a rebuild kit in but i guessed i lost the spring when the nut that hold the spring/ball/power piston came loose and dropped into the bowl.

i have two diff springs in my rebuild kits left , i pretty sure it is one of these thats goes below the power piston.

Does anyone know if its a small, cylinder shaped, very stiff spring Ive seen called a power valve spring, or is t the spring that's longer, and tapered soft? thanks again
