I just got a cigarette lighter for my 1949 GMC 3/4 ton. It did not have one previously. I can't find a wiring diagram in my assembly manual for the lighter and I didn't find this info in the archives. Does anybody know how and where this is wired. It has a post on the back of the lighter and a tab on the side. The truck is converted to 12 volt. :confused:

Yes it's a 12 volt lighter. Just got the tire carrier back from the sandblaster. It came out great! I'm going to paint it as soon as I'm done with the lighter.

Run a new (fused) wire dedicated to the lighter. Most factory lighters are sepearte from the ign. switch. Use at least a 10 amp fuse. | | |
