But, get this....the running board has to be removed to get it out of holder on frame side. Hole in floor is small as other trucks, no way it's going out that! Darn thing is 20" long or so at least, 10" wide maybe. Posts are at one end. Don't know what amps it's supposed to have, but I'm sure plenty. The starter on this things about 2ft long too!  Not sure if it's positive ground like the 6volts, gotta check that yet.

I can't remember the numbers though. As for how it would come out of your truck I'm not sure, sorry I know thats not much help. But as Bill says better to have two people.

Our larger engines each have two of those 8D batteries, they have a 24 volt starting system. Those batteries come with a pull up handle on each end. One for you and one for the poor sap that has to help you lift.

I can move them around, and I have a bad back. What we need in here is a real man, a Marine, to rag on your sorry axxes and browbeat you into submission. Sounds like time for some pushups for you weaklings. First the ones with one arm, then the kind where you get to applaud for yourself. Your only talking about 160 pounds!

Will produce about 1800 amps at full load, and easier to find (Sears) than current battery. Probably cheaper to but I'm just guessing on that one. If you need more power than that get a new truck, or start it from a 3 phase 440volt outlet. | | |
