Does the bed come apart in sections? It looks like the front part of the bed, both side panels, the parts that hold the tail lights, and both fender wells come apart, but I don't know if it is welded in spots or if it is all just bolted together. Please let me know. I am going to try and buy a assembly book here in the next couple of weeks.

I asked the same question a couple of weeks ago. Here was the response:

There are two stich-welds on each end of the rear main cross sill...one on the top of the sill and one on the front face. With a cutting wheel in a die-grinder, they can be scored and the bed sides can be removed from the rear main cross sill.

There are also four shoulder bolts on each end of the rear main cross sill, securing it to the bed sides.

Thanks for the advice...I have just the tool for that...angle grinder with cutting wheel.

Not sure if you are talking fleetside or stepside. Just disassembled the stepside bed and everything is bolted.

Thanks guys. I have been gone a while. The good thing about Mar-K is they are right up the road from where I live. I am going to get that booklet and I will more than likely be using them for all of my longbed fleetside needs. Thanks again.
