We disassembled to the frame in a week. Not a lot of surprises outside of how bad the floorboards were. Knew they needed attention but did not realize they were basically gone on the driver's side. The person I bought it from had put galvanized in to hide the problem.
Frame, hood and fenders are off to the sandblaster and hopefully will be back in the next 3-4 days.
I am now chasing motor mounts. The truck had some welded in mounts for the 350 that came with it. We cut those out and ground off the crappy welds. I believe the original v8 mounts that came with the 283/327 should work for the 350.
A question I have relates to the truck stance. According to the shop manual it was suppose to be 1 inch lower in front than back. I would like to see a little more rake so am thinking about doing the front brake conversion to discs and getting it with a 2 1/2 drop. Anyone have any experience with this? If so, how did it look?

If memory serves me well, the motor mounts for the 283 and 292 will NOT be correct for the 350. However, the mounts for the 230 & 250ci are correct for the 350, and it should bolt right in. I'm not sure about the 327 mounts. So I think you can just get mounts for a 230 and you'll be good to go.
