Did they make a passenger side seat for an AD panel truck. And whats a fair price to pay? Ive found someone who claims they have a set of panel seats. Thanks, Oldblue51

Yes, there was an optional passenger seat. A fair price is one where both the seller and buyer are happy.

Very nice.

Are those original "bases" - the parts that touch the floor? They look good.

Someone else needs to tell me. I purchased them from the owner of a 48 panel who put in new electric seats. He told me they were correct original A-D panel seats. I've been told they are from the Art Deco series.

edit, I believe that those wooden bases are correct for that seat.

I had bought seats that needed some resto work. Then I got contacted by a Stovebolter who sold me a completely restored set for $700. Worth every penny from where I sit - eliminated all of the metal work and reupholstering that I was going to have to do. When you're looking at price - add up all of the costs if you have to do it yourself or have it done. My plan is to take one of my now-extra seats and add a third jump seat in back... Which means I'll still have a driver's seat and passenger seat that will be going up for sale.

I am not sure what year your panel truck is, But the seat pictures below are for panel trucks from 1947 2nd thru 1955 1st series.
The 1941-1947 1st auxiliary seats have different mounting brackets. check out this Thread/Post for more pictures & info.

Warning:These are really pretty pictures:

The paint color looks to be factory correct, upholstery is not.

Price is in the of Eye beholder or soon to be beholdee. The seats in the pictures above would garner top dollar.

I never heard of Art Deco series Chevy Panel truck seats.
Sounds like a bunch of mumbo jumbo.
They do look nice and they look like they have the 1941-1947 1st auxiliary seat mounting brackets.
$300 smackers for both is a great deal.

Thanks,

Did the Art Deco (41-46) pass. side panel seat back fold down before you tilted it forward, just like the Advance Design (47-55 1st)?
