Hi,
I'm in Oz and scored a 1940 GMC Truck with engine number TTR14967 stamped on it. Can anyone shed light onto what size engine etc

That is a fine truck. Can you give us a casting number, maybe from the block?

Hy Zaczac, welcome, your truck could have been built in Canada, and if it was it would have left the factory Chevrolet powered most likely. It probably has a 216 or 224 Chev. engine in it. If you could take a picture of the engine and post it, or as truckernix said find and post some casting (raised) numbers from the block and cylinder head, that would help us to identify what you have, hope that helps.

Besides all that, I would love to see more photos, especially under the hood!

She was built in Oz by HOLDEN, factory RHD, I think she is a 216 and uses a Rochester carby (as she was cleaned out and kits were very $$).

Gudday Jase............all those pics of the FC Wagon will have our American brothers scratching their heads.
The Holden Grey engines look quite similar to the Chevrolet 6 so some people here might get a bit confused

Being a 1940, my guess would be a 216, but being the heavy truck could be running the larger engine.
It does look similar to my 216 from 1936.
