Just retired and decided to start restoring old trucks. I bought a 1965 C10 step side and have gotten it down to the frame and off to the sand blaster. I need to purchase a number of parts to restore the truck. The two main sites I have found are LMC and OldChevyTrucks. Any advice or feedback on either of these vendors or any recommendations for a different source? Having a lot of fun bustin knuckles instead of a corporate job!!!

Go into the LINKS section and check out the vendors there.

I did check that out and that is how I found LMC and OldChevyTrucks. I need to order around 30-40 parts and would prefer to order from one place. Right now I am leaning towards ordering from LMC and could appreciate any feedback on them.

most suppliers carry the same parts from the same manufacturers, some have better shipping policies/prices .... you might consider some other suppliers, like American Classic, who've been long time supporters of this site, and right now are offering a discount for 'bolters [see advert top left, every page]

Go Bears thumbs_up

I steer clear of LMC, due to a bad experience I had with them a few years back https://www.stovebolt.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=761159&page=1 . My vendor of choice is Classic Parts of America http://www.classicparts.com/

I hope this helps, keep us in the loop on your build, and post up some photos of your truck... we all love photos pix.

John

Thanks everyone. What a great response for one day! Will be responding to the PMs and will get pics in the next week or two. I will be checking out American Classic and Classic parts of America as well as used parts per advice from a PM.

LMC is cheap and that is what you will get.. I just completed my 62 from a frame off.. I have now just over 600 dollars worth of junk I am sending back to LMC.. There quality is very poor, windows seals, door regs, speaker enclosures, trims, its really sad but I feel its better to find good used parts and restore them.. Just my opinion..
