I have installed a NOS set of Guide amber fog lights on my 54 3104. They have the 6v composite bulbs. I used an 8amp reducer from the battery to the switch and when the circuit is closed you could boil water on the ceramic resistor in a few seconds. I don't believe there were 12v bulbs for these lights.

How can I reduce the voltage without heating the garage?

Thanks

Try wiring the two lights in series, ground the frist light, then run a wire from the frist light to the second on one side, then the other side of the second light to the switch.

I believe a standard 4415A bulb could fit the Guide foglights (5 1/4 inches)?

You can get the 4415A from Atlanta Light Bulb Co. on the web. I got mine there at the best price around. Quick shipping.

Wow! They even have bulbs for my late '40's, 6 volt Firestone Spotlight! (Made by Appleton). Bummer there is a minimum order of 10...
