One way to get to own more than one Big Bolt is to build your wife the first one!! She has about 500 miles on it this summer, now I'm free to build my next Big Bolt.My Girls "36 Chev.

Hy 1936only, that's a very nice truck you built there Rick, this is Rick isn't it, my memory is not that good anymore but that looks like Toni in your picture. If this is Rick, welcome back, if it isn't Rick welcome anyway, nice truck!

Welcome '36only. Very nice looking truck. Can you tell us a little more about it? Stock drive train, etc? Whats all the stuff in the back (beside the pooches that is). I really like the side boards. Well done.

Nice looking truck!

Did y'all make the bed?
Can you tell me about the stainless washers on the outside of the wood? Looks like a detail I haven't seen before, do you have a close picture?

It's Rick and Toni, 3B, thanks for all your support getting the Low Cab on the road. My brother Baldybenny built a awesome 1955 235 for it and it has a HD clutch assy. from a '53 2 ton Chev. The rest of the drivetrain is stock '36 and handles the new power perfect. Intake manifold is a Clifford 2-4 barrel with a Holley 2 barrel adapted. HEI ingnition and Offenhouser valve cover makes for a really differant look under the hood. All the "stuff" in the back is '30-'40's period tools with a '40's fire extiguisher and a '30's truck jack. And what truck would'nt be copmlete without 2 Jerry Cans. The top speed is about 53 MPH with the gears. All my wife wanted for her birthday was an AOOHGA horn.......just gotta love a woman like that.

Grigg, the bed is really a find. It's built in Columbia, South America. It's all Mahogany and must have cost a fortune to build. All edges are routered and Stainless Fastners all around. All bolts are counter sunk and backed up with SS washers. I bought it from a guy for $250.00. My wife Toni refinished it and we had to make it 13" wider to fit the chassis. Length was perfect. I've never seen another like it.I'll take some closer pics soon.

Thank you 3B, without your bellhousing it would not be on the road. Hope to see you next summer. Hope all is well at home. I've seen you have aquired a few more trucks since I've been gone, you need more chicken coupes to house them.

Thank you all again for the compliments, We have worked hard to get this truck back on the road. Your thoughts and generous compliments are truly payment for the work. We could'nt wait to show it to you folks at the Bolt. By the way the paint is original except the red stripe my wife had to have, and I'm glad she did.....Rick.

The elegance of this truck in the simplicity of the paint job is very sweet. Just that red stripe to accent. Very subtle and effective. Nice Work!
