They are a small wheel with nubs on it that when turned from a bolt head on the backing plate, adjust the wheel cylinder caps and hence the brake shoe to drum contact.
I swear I've seen a vendor carrying them in the past...

I really like the rear adjusters, it is just that when they are gone it is a problem. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 3 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 3 | thanks guys. if i find some, will let you know. and guess i got told. for the record, the truck is a 48 pickup, serial number 5FSJ3502. was built in october, 48, london, ontario. i sure wish you guys could help with my stude 2r10 early. thanks for all your help.

Correct? | | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 | No, he is looking for the adjusters that are mount through the backing plate, have a bolt head on the outside and a gear on the inside. He could buy the endcaps easily even if it meant new cylinders. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2012 Posts: 46 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Aug 2012 Posts: 46 | On my 48 the adjusters can't be removed. I had one that had broken off and welded it back on to the stud. New cylinders are $120/each. If OP just wants the endcaps, I've got them..... Send me a PM. | | |
