For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2000 Posts: 29 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Aug 2000 Posts: 29 | Took the valve cover off my '37 truck to clean it up and paint. Lying on top of the rocker arms is a "pad" running the full length of the assembly. Is this normal? The engine was running fine. Should I leave this in or replace it? Where can I find anew one.? Thanks,

I have heard people mention about putting one on one of these sixes so I am wondering if some actually did so. The earlier pads were used to keep the shaft oiled. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 181 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 181 | I saw those being sold last year when I was in Cortez, Co at an Auto Parts store. The containers looked very fresh and they may still be a production item available on special order. Normbc9 | | |
