Hello paint enthusiasts! My 53 3100 was painted with PPG CLV back in 2010. I understand the law has changed to low or no VOC's now. I need a pint to touch a few nicks in the paint. Is the paint still available to be mixed and sold to me if I am not going to spray it? The two tone was Horizon Blue under India Ivory. I need the 8026 India Ivory PPG CLV. Possible? The local paint suppliers don't sell it here for obvious reasons, but is it sold in the back woods somewhere where the law hasn't taken effect yet and if I have no intentions of spraying it can I get some with a waiver if I need that type of thing? My body man tells me mine was the last one to be painted before he went to water based system, but now that screws a whole lot of people that paid good money for a paint job and need a spoonful for a small scratch or chip to match the color. Welcome to California! Thanks John

Maybe call up a jobber up in Reno and take a nice drive to friendly Nevada?

Hi Caso, I called R and W in Reno and they have the law there also. Hi Red58 (Bill), I called PPG today and spoke with technicial support, they said they don't make it anymore but it might be available in the market place. I called a few of their platinum dealers and they told me they had to send it all back to PPG. It was said that I had to find someone that still has it in stock and can mix it. Looking at the technicial chart you referred me to the Bay Area Air Resources Board it seems that I fall under the allowable limit if I can find it. I guess it will just be hit and miss to see if I can find it somewhere. Thanks.

No 'jobbers' network that I know of so its a yellow pages search of some sort I guess. Maybe post some wanted ads on a bunch of paint forums? Good luck

Does anyone have a lead on where I could buy a pint or quart of PPG CLV paint?
