For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 69 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 69 | Found a 38 car 216 motor and am gonna put it into a 49 panel truck. Figured I would have to change the front motor mount but in lookin at it, there are 2 square holes in the mount plate that align perfectly for the motor mount on the panel frame. Am I imagining that this is right that back then u could put the motor ina truck or car without changing the front mount plate? My later 216's will not swap car to truck without changing the front mount plate on the motor. Any help, thanks, Eric | | | | | Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 1,974 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 1,974 | If it has the holes in the right places on the front plate, then it should work.
