Can somebody tell me what the paint code and name is for the white color used on grills, bumpers, etc on a factory 1956 chevy pickup. Thanks! I looked at the paint chip codes and it showed Dover White and Alpine White.

don't see the trim color specified on the 56 sheets I have, but on the 57 and 58 sheets [should be the same] it's called Arctic Beige, Dulux 93-74277 [enamel] .... don't know if that number can be crossed to anything modern

Do you have a link to a paint sheet that shows Dover White and Alpine White for USA 1956 Chevrolet trucks?

I see Pure White and there was Bombay Ivory (both from prior years) and Arabian Ivory, which was new for 1956.

My guess would be Pure White was used for misc exterior and interior White (as was used from mid-1954 through 1955 - that white color was also available in many prior years).
