I did a search didnt find anything. Does anyone have a link to bed installation instructions. Like crossmember placement. Im having truck painted and need to temparily bolt the bed without wood. Does this require and special procedures?

if you don't have an assembly manual [worth getting], look around MarK .... really all you need to do is have the basic box together and bolt some cross members in so it'll sit on the frame - best painted off the truck anyway and with the tailgate off

With the basic box assembled, just use some thin wood strips(strapping) to set the bed height and location. What about the front of the bed panel and back of cab?

yes I sure would, I have the bed off now, do I bolt the cross members on with a 1/4" shim? And try to find some holes in bed that line up w/ crossmembers? They are going to paint w/ bed off and reinstall to paint stripe down side. I dont have trim holes in fenders or doors but I do in the bed. I probably need to provide the molding so the lines are straight? thanks
