My truck has been making a weird noise on turns since I've had it. It almost sounded like the tire grooves were rubbing the wheel well or body panel in steep turns. Now though the sound has left and replaced itself with the pull in the steering and now a change in brake behavior. I'm thinking its the tie rod? I'll get some pictures up of what I think might be relevant soon.
Thanks!

I notice in another thread you mention running H2 wheels and oversized tires. Did the problem exist with the original wheels/tires, or start after the swap? The H2 wheels ae possibly a large part of the issue, as they are not the proper backspace/offset for these older trucks, and will cause rubbing issues on turns. That's not to say that there may not be some sort of tie rod/alignment issue, but they will agrivate it. You'll want a wheel with no more than 3.5" of backspace, and somewhere between 0-24 mm offset to fit properly.

Is there uneven wear on the inside of the tires?

you didn't get under and find out what was happening the first time you heard it? not too hard to have someone turn the wheel lock to lock while you watch the action ... I wouldn't be surprised if you've rubbed part of the drag link off, be prepared for it to come off next time you drive it without figuring out the problem

If your tie rod was "broken" you wouldn't be able to drive or steer the truck. It sounds like you need to do some troubleshooting.

Maybe a bad bearing?

Hey y'all, of course I did get under it but hadn't noticed any place where rubbing would seem to occur, but there is also the fact that I don't have a discerning eye. The tires came on it so I'm not sure whether there was a problem prior. I did get it into the shop and it turned out it was a bad bearing which in turn scarred the spindle significantly. Got it all squared away for an arm and a leg but still the noise persists on mildly aggressive changes from flat to incline. The sound isn't a rubbing noise as I would expect from rubber to metal but sounds like sheet metal rubbing against concrete.

It sounds to me like you still have bearing issues. When a front bearing starts to go bad on my truck, it will sound like a pop can dragging on the ground or a loose clamp vibrating.
