You don't have to ream out bushings to install king pin, just drive out old king pin, then use bushing driver to knock out brass bushing. Clean up install two needle bearings. a tool is provided for this then put spacer bearing on bottom side of spindle and axle place king through then insert the other two bearings, drive in locking bolt. Remove old grease nibbles and install plugs that come with kit. Install new grease nibbles,caps and o-ring on both ends of king pins. Yes they are pricey in CND$ sure wish our dollar was alot stronger. Cost was $195.00 US.

I have a 45 GMC 1/2 ton as well and I was just in the SST site looking for those king pins. What condition is your truck in? Mine is competely appart, sandblasted, primed and ready for paint. I am in the process of building my straight-6 302, rebuilding a SM420 4-spd, and a camaro rear end. Hope to get the drive train installed, thendetailed and ready for spring. DId you do anyting else to your suspension? Like disc brakes?
