I have a 1962 C10 and I found a 1963 C10 for cheap. My doors are bad and I was going to swap them out. My question is does sheet metal parts, doors, etc. interchange with those years?

The sheet metal items are interchangeable, between the 60-'63 Chevy and GMC trucks, with the exception of the dash board for the Chevy, is different from the GMC, but will interchange. The '60-'62 truck frames are wider, than the '63-'66 truck frames, so the mounting locations of the front & rear frame-to-cab supports do not line up. Although the windshield/A-pillar changed in 1964, the frame style changed in 1963.

Tony on the 60-62 where does the width differential take place in the frame. the front section is the same as the later ones is it not. the rear of the earlier frames are about 42". the position where the frt cross member(2 wheel drive)goes in is the same right up to 87 is it not.
just curious

On the '60-'62 Chevy trucks, the cab mounting & rear frame rail dimensions are:

Front frame-to-cab perch, center-to-center width, is 51-1/2"
Rear frame-to-cab perch, center-to-center width, is 41"
Rear frame width at frame rail end, is 42"

On the '63-'66 Chevy truck, the cab mounting & rear frame rail dimensions are:

Front frame-to-cab per, center-to-center width, is 42"
Rear frame-to-cab perch, center-to-center width, is 41"
Rear frame width at frame rail end, is 34-3/4"
