for a while, how hard is it to switch to one of
these how input mini starters from the orig floor and if so are they expensive? mine is a 54

A few wires and connectors.

This is an original out of my 53 pickup. He said 6v or 12v it doesn't matter it wouldn't be that expensive either. I would say to start find someone who works on them and ask. | | |

I used a 53 olds ignition switch in my 37 p/u,it fit the hole where the original switch was perfectly and run a wire from the start terminal to the cellinoid | | |

It has been a long time since I have had a foot operated starter apart but if I can remember correctly the starter drive or bendix as some call it look about the same. If it could be done it would be alot easier than changing the flywheel especially if its in a torque tube equiped truck. Jeff | | |
