I been having some dealing with Patricks on my new project a 53-GMC with a 228 and I got to tell you what a good company to work with. That 228 GMC engine is a money pit compared to a Chevy 6.They ask the right questions and have the parts that I'll need to finish up the engine. It feels good to say somthing good about a company for a change.

for total restoration...

Patrick Dykes is one of Inliners earliest members and is in their
Hall of Fame. Through good and bad economic times he has always supported all inlines and is obviuosly one of the most knowledgeable. Fortunately, his son is very deep into the business, so "Patricks" will be around as long as we support inlines I think.

I was watching a rerun of BJ'S 2010 auction,
Patrick had a 56 chevy Convert that went for $130,000

first class all the way. would be nice to be able to have him
restore an old truck.. it would look better then new

Patricks has lots of good parts and knowledge; if given a choice, 270 and 302 parts are less expensive and more plentiful than 228 parts.

'37 GMC T-18 w/ DD 4-53T, RTO-610, 6231 aux., '95 GMC running gear, full disc brakes, power steering, 22.5 wheels and tires.
'47 GMC 1 ton w/ 302, NP-540, 4wd, full width Blazer front axle.
'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.

Thought about getting a 270 or 302 but when I added the cost of getting an engine to rebuilding the 228 it was cheaper to keep the 228.Plus thats all the engine I need.
