Happy Friday, everyone. We went to a car show last weekend and saw quite a few pickups with nice bench seats w/ fold down center consoles. Of course, I didn't think to ask where they got em'. Lol.

Does anyone know of a good place to get them for a 55 Chevy Series 2 pickup? Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Chris

I'm concidering these in my 1956 3100 build. They have different size consoles which make the overall seat longer or shorter. If you buy a used seat and than send it out to be recovered you will almost spend the same as buying them new.

In my '56 3100, 2nd (center seat) from Tahoe. 60-40 with fold down center arm rest including cup holders. Backs fold forward, bottoms fold up for access underneath and behind seat. No forward and back adjustment (just have them as far back as they will go).

I also got the seats for my 49 at Discountvantruck.com
What I saw at the local junkyards was junk and I reasoned that by the time I found something that I liked and then recovered it, I still might not have something I liked.

Baba,

What series seats did you get? Did you get cloth or leather? How do you like the fit and finish? I'm going the same route for the same reasons...

Thanks,

I got the low backed Cobra. They fit in the truck well and you can move them back far enough to get decent legroom. I got the cloth because it can get hot here.

They appear to be well made.

Baba,

They look great! Was the price in the $800 range? How expensive was shipping?

Thanks,

They list for $877.00 for cloth. The shipping brought it up to about $1000.00. Not cheap but I got the configuration that I wanted covered in the material of my choice and they are quality seats.

For what it's worth, I have $525.00 in mine. Leather and cloth, I picked the material.
