Buy a after market stainless bumper or just have my bumper rechromed. This will be going on a 51 3100. What are the pros and Cons to each one. After market stainless, Light scratches can be removed and still look good, will bend easily compared to original. not quite the shine of chrome, Lower cost to re chroming.
Re chromed original, highest cost but highest quality (if done right)best appearance.

I have chrome Chinese front and rear 1954 bumpers that have a gauge close to the original chrome and painted bumpers. I do not yet know how well they will last (but, if the chrome does not last, I will blame it on the American importer's poor specifications and/or poor quality assurance).
