The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area The HiPo Shop Power Steering in an Apache 20

Hey folks,
After my already short ownership of my Bolt I have come to the conclusion that power steering is a luxury option I would love to add to my truck. I saw a link in another thread that lead me to this site:

I noticed it said most complete so I was just curious as to what I may expect to run into for hiccups. I am not a mechanic by any means but hopefully after enough alterations like this I may get a bit more of a pedigree. My tool set for the most part is some sockets and a hammer which I'm not proud to say. Do you think a noob with some supervision could handle something like this?

If you are the guy with the white double cab, I still think your truck is nice! For that rig, power steering will be a great option! The kit you are looking at is based on a V-8 engine. If you have a V-8 then with that kit you'd be good to go. If you have one of the sixes, you'll have to find a 6 based kit or a set of brackets. The Moderator of the '60 - '66 group makes them so you could contact him. Either way, its a pretty easy swap with little to no adjustment.
