on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 117 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 117 | Anyone have a picture of the way the #2 & #3 main caps are supposed to be installed on a 59 235? Been a long time since I pulled it apart and they aren't marked with an arrow. I'm sure they are marked but I don't remember the proper orientation. Any help? | | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 | I may be wrong but the bearings have tangs that fit into the cap and the block. The two tangs go on the same side. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 117 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 117 | Yes the bearings do have tangs or notches on 1 end. I just wasn't sure if they were to be together or opposite. Anyone else know for sure before I screw up? So if you put on the last one or the first and the numbers read from the front than the number 2 and 3 should read from the front.

When installed the "R" will be to the rear of the cap.
