I have almost a good portion of the truck wired up and now I am working on the light switch that can adjust the lighting on the dash. I have almost everything wired up but can't find the wire that goes from the light switch to the gauges. I have gauge power but that is all I have found. Does anyone know if gauge power goes to the dash terminal on the light switch? The manual says that the dash light wire is brown. I looked at every wire and can't seem to locate it. Thanks, Bert | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | year? what manual? the factory manual doesn't show any brown wire on the light circuits - brown should be the color for the gas gauge I believe - most years have a tab at the front of the switch that is one end of the coiled resistor wire and that runs the dash lights [that's the "dash terminal"], which get power thru the main supply to the switch - the "D" terminal on the switch is the Dome light, the dash light wires are all gray and usually they're all hooked together with a soldered or crimped joint, you probably didn't get the actual dash lights with the harness, but that "bundle" needs to get hooked to that rheostat on the front of the switch

I replaced all the switches because I am going to 12 volt.
