Hi all,

I have a 1952 GMC 454-30. I am not sure if the suspension is standard or a special order.

Can't find any number on it. I.D. info plate on glove box door only states number of springs and axle manufacturer (Eaton).

The suspension is not in my service manual. Not that I could find.

Trying to find rubber bushings for torsion bars.

Thanx,

That torsion bar setup, is not standard equipment. Would have been special order.

Hy GMCPic, could you post a picture of your suspension? Your truck probably has rear suspension with a radius rod to control torque, could that be the "torsion bar" you're looking for bushings for?

For a minor description...:

Leaf springs have shackles at both ends, rods connect in line with the frame under the forward spring mount and connect to the bottom on axle spring clamp underside of axle. Ends of rods are offset to connect under frame and under the axle.

It reminds me of an early Hendricks setup but I do not believe it is Hendricks.

GMCpic, I call those torque arms and not all 450s had them. It was an option. Original spec sheet calls them radius rods.
