Just pulled motor on my 1954 gmc. Has 248 in it. got the 4 speed seperated from bell housing now cant figure how to seperate from motor. Pulled top two bolts and wont break loose. Any help would be great.

If the 248 attaches like the 235, there are 4 mounting bolts from the inside of the bell. You have to remove the pressure plate, clutch, and flywheel to access them.

Just took my 228 out of my new project and there are 6 bolts like Coachie said 4 of them are under the pressure plate.Same as Chevy.
