Somewhere I saw some pix of a dash that had been modified so that the speaker grill/Ashtray area had been modified to fold down in order to put in a hidden stereo or Cd player

Does anyone know where those pix are?

Sounds interesting. Wouldn't mind seeing some detail pics of that.

Personally, I was thinking about one of those radios that looks exactly original but has the hookups in back for an ipod or other device.

Yep, I did it to mine. Got a video on my webshots page below. Haven't updated since that orinigal post, but the radio is installed and works great. Will try to get some more shots this weekend.

Yeah, that is what I was looking for. I have been trying to keep stock appearances as much as possible but I need someplace to put some additional gauges as the reproductions/originals are not up to the v8, particularly the temp gauge. I wondered about using some piano hinge?

I opted to put my air conditioning vents in there instead of running at the base of the dash. My radio has a USB so I can listen to I tunes
