After reading all the posts on widow makers I put out feelers and found 22.5 inch wheels. They must have come off an old u-haul truck becuase several of the tires say property of u-haul right on them. They are tubeless and made by acuride wheel company. Interesting right next to the acuride stamped logo they also say firestone. Tires are next. Any recomendations on size? Also need to rebuild front end. Need spring end bushings for sure, maybe tie rods and king pins. Where to buy? Also is the cab same as pickup? Most or the parts are the same as the 55-59 task force pickup trucks. I prefer the narrow radials for my 2 tons. There are still some 9.00X22.5's out there. As for the rear, the 10 or 11X22.5's work well. I don't know my metric sizes. I have been able to get my rear tires from the local school bus barns for free. The suspension parts are a little tougher to get. I have had the best luck finding donor trucks. The stock 22.5" rims on the 6000 Series trucks were either 6" or 6-3/4" and could have had 8, 9 or 10.00 tires.
