Does anyone else have one of these in their truck? I did some looking and found out that it was a dealer option on my 49 3100. From what I read it was to be used as a defogger. Anyone else ever seen one? And I'm just curious, but how much are they worth?

They are pretty common on old cars/trucks, several for sale on eBay all the time. There are both electrical and vacuum versions (Trico)available. You are correct about them, being a dealer accessory they appear in the Salesman Data Book. Expect to pay $200+ for a NOS fan and $20-50 for a good used one.

Thanks for the info! Over the years I've seen a ton of AD trucks, but never saw one with the fan. I was debating on selling the fan because I have to sell the truck. The wife and Idiscussed it the other day that when we have kids, it would be better to (dare I say this) have a car so that we can bring the kids back and forth to shows. However, my dream of building an AD truck will still be kept alive! I shall build one someday!

Do any of you folks have info on where to get replacement rubber blades for these fans. I have one that is nice shape except for the blades.

I have never seen replacement blades anywhere. Your best bet would be to find a junker on eBay with good blades and retrofit them to yours.

any ideas where i could buy a new one any photos ?

Look for Fulton fan on eBay you will find them NOS as pictured. Fulton made a large line of accessories for cars/trucks back in the day.
