First rule of buying an American vehicle...build a bigger garage! Well done for sticking at it,it's hard when you hit a brick wall, especially if the weather wasn't co-operating either. What's your plans,is it going to be your shop truck,or is it just a hobby truck? 1950 Chevy Advance Design 3100 in ScotlandIn the Stovebolt GalleryMore pix on Flickr. Also was wondering if Oregon Gasoline was a real thing? Any reason you wanted to stay with that logo, or did you invent a new one?
I liked the idea of you parking it in front of the "American Diner" and having a professional model complete with bib overalls a gingham checked shirt. All she was missing were freckles! Kind of like me parking my bike next to a replica Ace Cafe.......
Really nice job. You should be very proud.

You may well find that the 'model' is in fact waks lady (or that might actually be wak?),there's no clue to their gender in the posts, there's quite a few Brits here follow a 50s American lifestyle. 1950 Chevy Advance Design 3100 in ScotlandIn the Stovebolt GalleryMore pix on Flickr. The Firewall says 1948, but the Gas Filler says 1949 or later. What are your numbers on the drivers side pillar? Here's a list of GMC SERIAL NUMBERS They should help decipher your year. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2012 Posts: 13 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jan 2012 Posts: 13 | its a 49, im not sure the where spare wheel should be it had been previousy mounted both sides and under the back, the gasoline decals are period from the states iv hand lined them to give it a bit of a old look.its the old lady poseing in front of the diner.had to bribe her with a burger !thanks for the coments will take more detail photos soon . | | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 3,750 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 3,750 | its the old lady poseing in front of the diner.had to bribe her with a burger ! wak,in Scotland your "old lady" (sorry "auld lady") means it's your Mum,if that's your Mum,what are you... about twelve? 1950 Chevy Advance Design 3100 in ScotlandIn the Stovebolt GalleryMore pix on Flickr.
