I was chatting with tclederman (Tim) the other day, and he said wouldn't it be nice to have a buzzer that would sound if you had left the headlights on? I thought it would, as I have run down the battery numerous times over the years by doing this.
Anyway, I thought about it a bit and came up with a simple relay circuit that would sound a buzzer if the headlights were on and the ignition was off.
Here is a link to the circuit diagram.
Basically the way it works is that a buzzer is wired through a relay with power for the buzzer taken from the headlight side of the headlight switch. The relay is operated by the ignition switch such that if the ignition is on, the buzzer is disconnected. If the ignition is off and the headlights are on, power will flow to the buzzer.
Enjoy.

I'm offline for the next 3 days, but I'll make a better diagram when I get back.
