what's the difference between a 216 and a 235 head,,,I have 2 heads in back of my 72 Chev truck,and can't tell which is which???,,,also some advice:2 heads are better than 1,,,,,,,Ha,Ha,Ha,,,,,No Really,What is the difference?? :p :p :p :p

The intake ports are smaller on the 216.
The 216 rocker cover is held on with the 2 center bolts that come up from each rocker shaft .
The 235 cover is screwed on with 4 screws around the sides .
The 216 casting # generally is 838XXX.
The 235 casting # is generally 383XXXX. or 370XXXX .
etc etc .

The early 235 heads also have the 2 center-bolts on the valve covers with the large side (lifter) cover
