Do you want to know what H-2-47 means, and/or do you want to know what kind of heater you have?
If the latter, can you post a photo of the front of the heater?
Harrison made a variety of styles of heaters for GMC and Chevrolet trucks between 47-55.

The number on my '54 Fresh Airflow heater is stamped into the case. < HD 04 54 >< HEATER >

I also do not know; however, I think that the codes on Harrison radiators and heaters were not the date they were installed or manufactured.
It might have been the date of the first year of that style heater/radiator?
However, Lonnie's 1954 heater would have been a style also used in 1953 (maybe the color was different in 1953)?
I'll check some of the 53-55 fresh-air/air-flow heaters that I have. Lonnie, where on the heater-case did you find that first code?

(obviously, I don't know the correct name of the "finned water element." I shot these pics before I rehabbed my heater: > Wider view of number in my previous post. The front cover of the heater is still attached in this photo. Visable thought the round opening. > Full view of the case with number. Only the "54" shows in the photo, a couple of inches right of the red arrow. The front cover was removed in this photo. This photo is higher resolution so that you can move it around and see the details. Hold "Cntl" and tap "+" to enlarge. > Heater partially disassembled.Let me know if you need more pics to determine the location of the number.

I'll be able to find codes on three of the heaters that I have: two 54/55 GMC heaters and one Chevrolet heater. I'll not be able to heck theone on the Suburban.
