I can't get a dinging hammer to it. So I am going to open up for the HF stud gun. It is on for $99 and I have a coupon for 25% off. For $75 and probably limited use, I'll go for it. I don't know how to get the dings out any other way. Don't want to drill holes. I tried mine on those cab dings last week with a lot of success. I'm trying to use as little bondo as possible. I was able to pull small dents so that only high build primer will be necessary. I borrowed some techniques from the paintless dent removal guys. Here's what I found that works: I polished the area so that I could watch the reflection while I pulled the dent. A fluorescent light works great for the reflection.
I only used a short pulse to weld the studs. The studs can be twisted off and reused a couple times.
Instead of using the slide hammer, I made a "bridge" tool. It's a steel bar with a small hole that is supported at each end about 3/4" away from the surface. The welded stud pokes through it and I pull it slowly with a pop rivet gun. Very controllable.
A dent the size of a quarter may require 8 pulls or more to progressively bring the surface up where it should be.
Use a sanding block to scuff it lightly to see if you have any high spots. Tap them down a little if necessary.
When you're satisfied, lightly draw file over the area.

I did read it before I went to the cashier, but she also brought that to my attention.
