I have 235 motor with bellhousing on it, I am trying to remove the bell housing from engine block to swap to 216 bell housing. I removed 2 bolts on the top of the bell housing to engine block and 2 behind the fly wheel on a difficult place to reach, however the bell housing wouldnot even move. I am kind of lost where else it can be holding to the block. Any suggesstions, thanks in advance

Then youll see the flywheel bolts. Theyll probably have "keepers" on them. Just bend the little nubs away from the bolts. Remove the flywheel and youll see the culprits that are still holding your bellhousing on. Make sure when replacing the flywheel, those bolts should be torqued. Dont know the exact ft.lbs. right off the top of my head, but i'll look in my shop manual for ya. Or if you have a shop manual,,its under,,"tightening specs". Make sure to use a clutch aligning tool when putting the clutch assembly back on. And,those bolts have to be torqued also. Marty

Certainally, the operation is easier if your engine is out of the truck and on the stand. I agree with the others. It is impossible to acess the other two bolts unless you remove the clutch/flywheel on this engine.
