A couple of weeks ago I recieved a letter from city code enforecement stating I needed to move my old truck. So, I wheeled it into the garage with the help of a friend and now I can't keep my hands off of it. To the best of my knowledge it is a 1937 Chevy 3/4 ton. I ran the data plate I found on the passenger side corner of the firewall through the vin buster. It came from a ranch here in Wyoming so there is an explanation as to why I have a Chevy cab and frame along with a 37' GMC grill/radiator housing and hood. Another possible ranch mod I noticed are the tabs welded to the frame above the overload springs for the rear axle. I am not sure if the lights on top of the cab are or were supposed to be there either. Any info anybody may have would surely and greatly be appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

I don't intend to restore the truck nor do I plan on turning it into a rat rod either. A few of the things I have planned for it are listed as follows. I recently picked up a chevy 350 4 bolt main which I have stripped down for a rebuild. I intend to carb it with amybe a change to the cam and pistons. I also would like to run a standard transmission. I can have a ten bolt rear if I want to pick it up but I don,t necessarily know the end goal of the engine and transmission. Since the bed was pretty much non existant I have drawn up a few plans to make a wood stake bed for it.

If anybody needs or would want any of the drivetrain and suspension components let me know and we can arrange something.

...its nice of you to offer the parts rather than just scrap them. I"m sure someone could use them.

I'd like to suggest you post it in the FREEBIES forum in the Swap Meet section. Lots and lots more people will see your nice offer thare.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
